Hi all
Decided to go see Mont Blanc Aiguille du Midi and Annecy December 30, 31, January 1. After that flying from Geneva to either Malaga or Barcelona.
Looking to have other options in case the weather is iffy in Mont Blanc.
Which city would you stay in Annecy or Geneva?

IDefinitely Annecy, no contest. Half the price, twice as beautiful. I find that Geneva, while beautifully located, is gray and austere.
However you might want to spend a night near Geneva Airport if your flight is early: Annecy to Geneva Airport takes about 60-90 minutes by bus on clear roads and there can be traffic in the morning rush hour. Would also need to check whether that bus runs on NY day!

Annecy for sure, Geneva has a little to see and costs a bundle.

I think that hotels are going to be expensive in either place for New Year’s Eve.
