24 hours in Dijon

Please make recommendations for things to do in Dijon. We will only be there for 24 hours.
Wine tasting? Restaurants? Guided tours? Museums? Any information would be greatly appreciated!

We stayed in Dijon 2 years ago for 5 days. The Musee des Beaux-Artes is very worthwhile and we had a lovely lunch at the restaurant attached to the complex. The old town area is very walkable and there are a few churches worth exploring.

Rick has a whole chapter on this, he usually recommends taking a bus tour out in the vineyards

I never found anything about Dijon in my Rick Steves book, much less a whole chapter. The good news about that is that it's therefore not overrun with tourists (Cinque Terre, I'm looking at you). We spent a few days there in 2021 and loved the city. As another person mentioned, it has a beautiful fine arts museum (we preferred it to the one in Lyon). I have a splurge restaurant recommendation: William Frachot, which is a Michelin start restaurant. It was outstanding! And for mustard fans -- treat yourself to a visit to the mother church of mustard at the Maille store. I brought home some treasured mustard that I'd never find in the stores here. They pump it out like soft serve ice cream and it's fabulous. RS makes a big deal about Beaune. We did a day trip there and enjoyed it but were satisfied with that amount of time and were pleased that we chose Dijon as a place to stay for longer. It's also a convenient place to catch the TGV back to Paris. Enjoy!

OK so I just pulled my trusty RS France guide down off the shelf, granted it's dated 2021 but there is a whole entire chapter on Burgundy. Goes into a lot of detail.

Oddly it's focused only on Beaune and not Dijon, I guess that is one of those classic RS choices. But the sites he recommends are basically the same.
