2 minutes to get on Lyon Vaise Intermediate train stop - need any advice

I have a train from Lyon Vaise to St Pierre at 9:40am in June. It says "Intermediate Stop Only" for 2 minutes. Does anyone have any tips on managing this, other than getting to the station in plenty of time? Thanks!

I haven't been in that station but signage on the track may indicate the best place to stand for 1st or 2nd class cars. See also https://www.ricksteves.com/travel-tips/transportation/trains/getting-on-the-right-train.

Did you chose Lyon Vaise station as closest to your accommodation, or was it suggested as the "shortest" train ride by a computer? If this is not actually your most convenient station, or if you really wanted more boarding time, you might catch the same train (e.g., if it's IC 4504) five minutes earlier at its downtown origin station, Lyon-Perrache.

To add on the above, if you are staying in the Presqu'ile or even the Vieux Lyon, Perrache station is a better choice: it leaves you time to settle in the train at its departing point, to secure seats (if not reserved), and it avoids an unpleasant wait in what is basically a suburban station with few facilities.

Laura - good guess! Computer picked route 4504 and Lyon-Perrache would indeed be closer to my hotel. Is it okay to get on at an earlier stop rather than what is printed on the ticket? Thank you!

Yes, you're fine to board that train at the earlier station. Prices are based on a city/zone rather than a particular station.

Laura, Thank you so much! One less thing to "worry" about. This will be so much easier.
I am so impressed with the knowledge on this site. Thank you, all.
