We are planning a trip in 2025 to include the 24 hours of Le Mans. Since this would be a first ever trip to France we have many sites we'd like to see and are just trying to figure out where to start and how much time to spend in each location. Our list includes 24 hour Le Mans, Disney Paris, Normandy and Nice and other coastal communities. Can you give us a beginners plan? Thank you
Nice is a real outlier vs. your other locations, and 16 days go by fast.
Basically:
- le Mans will take 3 days I guess? Or at least 2.
- Normandy takes about 2 days for the D-Day beach area, +1 day for Mont Saint Michel, +1 day for Rouen, +1 day for the lower Seine valley
- Paris takes 4 days, +1 for Disneyland, +1 for Versailles
That's at least 10 days, and 12 if you want to be comfortable.
A great addition would be the Loire valley, IMO: close to Le Mans, and really worthwhile.
And/or northern Brittany around St Malo.
By the way, unless you have a specific interest in D-Day celebrations, I would go to Normandy after le Mans; indeed given that the 24 hrs take place in calendar week 24, that's right after D-Day.
