Has anyone been to Chantilly to the chateau and horse stables? Is it worth a visit? Do you know what train line from Paris it would be on? Thanks!

The closest station is Chantilly-Gouvieux and the train runs from Gare du Nord. The Musee vivant du cheval is about a mile walk from the station, the chateau about a half mile beyond that. Chantilly is, of course, a big horse track. Don't know what their season is.

Have been to the chateau but not to the horse stables. Its absolutely worth a visit with its nice Condé museum and setting. It comes to my opinion of the chateaux in the vicinity of Paris after Versailles, Vaux le Vicomte and Fontainebleau. I think the stables are certainly worth a visit as well.
