Does anyone have a recommendation of where I could safely stay in Toulouse one night. I will want something that I can get from the airport to the hotel by a shuttle or taxi. I want to be able to spend the afternoon walking around and then eat and go to bed early. The rest of my time is planned. Thanks!

Toulouse airport is served by FlyBus shuttle service running from Place Jeanne d'Arc and the train and bus stations. I'm sure you could find a hotel near one of those and I would not have any particular safety concerns. www.viamichelin.com lists hotels, along with other sites. Google maps can also be a good place to start, for areas not covered in your guidebooks.
