13 hour layover Chateau de Chantilly

Is it possible to see Chateau Chantilly in a 13 hour layover at CDG in September 2024? What is the best way to do this…do we have to go into Paris to get there?

It is definitely possible. A combination of buses and RER D is theoretically possible, but ideally you would need a cab both ways.

Agreed - it would be much more time-efficient -- and less taxing on your traveling body -- to take a cab to Chantilly and back.

I would arrange cabs to and from the airport. And check the chateau website for tickets and timing. when we were there over 20 years ago, the place closed for a long lunch and we arrived driving from Belgium just as the gates shut for two hours mid day -- no idea if they still close entry at lunch time, but you wouldn't want to try to make this trip and have to deal with that.

Very important to have a cab booked for the return trip. You can probably take a cab off the line to get there.
