12 Hour Layover in Paris

Hello everyone,
Myself and 3 of my friends will be travelling from Prague to Mumbai via Paris with a long layover of 12 hours that is from 8 pm to 8 am local time in September 2017. So i wanted to know about things i can do to utilise the layover time to have a glimps of paris instead of sleeping in a airport hotel.
I have gone through the timetable of RER B trains. the last train from CDG is at 23:56 and again starts at 04:56.
So i was thinking of getting to the city to have a glimps of the paris and come back before 5 am by roissy bus.

Please share your advice on this plan.
Thanks in advance.

I agree. That's a good hotel and there are others. I suggest RER or taxi into the city that evening for a quick look at the City of Light. Les Vedettes du Pont Neuf offers one-hour cruises starting as late as 10:45, not far from the RER station at Chatelet. You can buy your tickets at the pier. Sleep at an airport hotel to be sure of being at check-in by 5 AM. Don't risk missing that big flight just to sleep in the city.

They aren't planning to sleep but return directly for the next flight where they will have to go through passport and security.

As long as your bags are being transferred for you, sounds good. Paris is a safe city, but in the middle of the night do stick to lively areas: Opera, Champs Elysées, Bastille, Latin Quarter, banks of the Seine at street level.
