10 nights Paris and the French Riviera

We will be traveling to Paris in May/June of next year (don't have the specific dates worked out yet)we have 10 nights to play with and would love to spend some of it in Nice/Antibes/St Tropez. Any suggestions on how much time we would need in each area and must sees - some things that are a must for us - Normandy, Versailles while in Paris and a trip to Monaco (for the fun of it!) We have been to Provence before so do not need to visit that region again. Also, plane, train or car to get from Paris to Nice??

My wife and I spent 12 days doing paris , nice and versaille. Spend 5 nights in paris , fly from CDG. To nice spend a few nights there , 30 -45 minute train ride to Monaco or Cannes for day trips , fly back to paris then take the rer to versaille for 2 nights which we found was plenty of time to see the palace and walk the town and enjoy some nice meals in the cafes . It's about a 45 minute train ride from paris to versaille . We then fly back home out of CDG. Airport .enjoy

I'd do 3 nights in Nice with a day trip from there to Monaco. Spend the rest of the time in Paris with a day trip to Versailles. Fly "open jaw", for example, fly in to Nice and out of Paris. The train ride between the two cities takes the better part of a day but the scenery is beautiful.

Versailles and Giverney are easy day trips, but Normandy, not so much. I am assuming your reason for visiting Normandy is to view some of the D-Day history? I think there are day trips out of Paris, but seeing it that way won't show you very much. You'll see more with an overnight- either doing a tour or renting a car.
