I am planning to be in Paris for 10 nights in December. After looking at many hotels, and based on an email response from one hotel, it seems that a 10-night stay is primarily providing me with non-refundable rates only. I've checked a 10-night stay at a few properties finding only non-refundable rates and then checked a 7-night stay at the same hotel which revealed 'flexible" (refundable) rates. In addition, one hotel responded to my email inquiry saying that because I was looking for a 10-night stay they would only offer me a non-refundable rate. Hmmm. Any insights? There isn't a law about this, is there?
For this trip, my first choice of location is the Right Bank, priced in the $350/night range.
