1.5 days in Paris before Berlin, Prague and Vienna

I am taking the BPV tour on Sept 22 next year. I’m flying into Paris for 1.5 days before flying to Berlin. I was on the Best of Paris tour in 2017, and for this trip, I just want to be a Flaneur (term stolen from another poster on this site).

I am staying in the Latin quarter, and prefer to walk wherever I’m going. Still a little Covid shy, I want to stay away from public transportation as much as I can before starting the tour in Berlin. I also don’t want to be tied to timed entry in case I am suffering from jet lag following my flight from the West Coast of Canada.

Any suggestions of interesting outdoor spaces in or close to the Latin Quarter? I will be there on a Thursday afternoon and all day Friday…perhaps some outdoor markets? I will probably be going back to Paris on my own in the spring of 2025, and will check out all the things I won’t be visiting this time ie: food tours and markets, and museums I missed in2017.

Thank you all for your in input!

Providing the weather cooperates- the Luxembourg Gardens are close by. On the other side of the Latin Quarter, between the Sorbonne and Gare Austerlitz, is the Jardin des Plantes, and it's accompanying Menagerie (botanical garden and zoo. And Rick has 3 audio guide walks.
