We had a very good experience with Secret Food Tours in Paris today. Our guide Thomas was very knowledgeable and made it a lot of fun. We visited several shops and sampled macaroons and chocolates. We also had a freshly made crepe. After exploring Montmartre, Thomas took us to a “secret” space where we feasted on a variety of meats, cheeses, bread, wine, and finally chocolate eclairs. It was a very nice afternoon. Highly recommend.
Thanks for this review. We’ll be there the end of May and I’m looking at food tours.
We also loved that Secret Food tour. Our daughter said it was her favorite thing in Paris.
You’re lucky, I took that tour a year ago last March. One of the worst tours I’ve ever had anywhere anytime. I did not have your guide I can’t remember the woman’s name. (I probably blocked it out because it was such a nightmare.) But I will not be trusting this company again because that tour guide should not be allowed to tour lead tours of bathrooms much less a food tour of Paris.
I’ve also done two tours with Paris by mouth and both of them have been very professionally done. I think they cost a little more, but I am going to pay for the quality.
Donna, that sounds wonderful! I will check that out.
The food was good, and the guide
knowledgeable. We were emailed from secret food tours the day before our planned tour to order the Extra drink package. Wine was already included. The EXTRA package included 2 specific types of wine and Cognac.
We received NONE of them. Asked for a refund and company denied stating the items were given. Choose another company with integrity, and where customer satisfaction is important.
This was just a mo ey grab from tourists!
Absolutely taking advantage of people.
