Review for Wendy Lyn's Paris Natural Wine Tour, Parisismykitchen

It has always been suspicious that there are no reviews of this woman's natural wine tour, considering her top tier media presence. A few years back, my sister, friend and I invested in a tour with her, and we have been talking about it ever since...because it was THAT BAD. Today, I'm finally writing a review in the hopes that no one else wastes time, money, or energy on her.

In short, she was pedantic, arrogant, patronizing, and came off as a con artist.

For a few additional details:

-She spent 90% of her time bragging about Jimmy Buffet being her cousin and her connections to celebrity chefs (which were very hard to believe, and not substantiated by how she was greeted at the places we visited)
-She criticized tearing off a small piece of bread, saying "Don't tear your bread like that, you look like a pig." (Who says that?!)
-She jumped in our uber as we were headed to our next destination--from the front seat, she got paranoid, asking "What are you saying about me?? Whatever you have to say, say it to MY FACE!"
-She acted oddly jealous about any Parisian knowledge we had, or about interactions we had with staff while we were with her.
-Back home, we happened to meet someone else who had a similar experience with her.

In the end, she left the restaurant abruptly, oddly, without saying bye. We never displayed any frustration visibly to her; we kept it all inside, incredulous at her rudeness and arrogance, and then we never did anything about it, until today.

We hope this helps you make an informed decision about using her services...which obviously...we do not recommend!

On that note, we are headed back to Paris next year, and are open to any other boutique tours that people really DID enjoy.

I’ve enjoyed Paris by Mouth’s tours. Good guides, and good interaction with people

I’d stay far away from secret Food tours. The places we went were unhappy to see us, the guide knew less about Paris than I do and less about food than I do. And the wine was sad. We paid for the upgraded wine, which they forgot to give us until the very end of the tour, and then after we called the taxi, she tries to force us to drink four glasses of upgraded wine, which by the way was not really an upgrade.

Since it's been a few years, things may have changed and could be vastly improved.
