I'm traveling with a group of 9 people and arriving in France on June 23. We are staying in a house about 8 miles from Blois in Cellettes for 3 days. Looking to make reservations since it will be Friday and Saturday nights and we have 9 people, 7 of which have never been to France. The thought of trying to find a place to eat while fighting to stay awake on our first night seems...like a bad idea.

Thanks T. It looks like I can reserve using e-mail which will be a plus. Trying over the phone might not be good, especially for the first night.
During our My Way France tour last month, several of us ate at Poivre et Sel after our group Happy Hour. It was good, hearty local food in an authentic atmosphere, dining with locals. We loved it. For a large group, you will want to reserve ahead.

Terri, Poivre et Sel was my first choice. Nice to get confirmation it's a good place. The two recommendations here are also ranked 5 and 6 in TripAdvisor. They don't have a website or email so if I go that route I will have to try calling them. I haven't spoken French since the last time I was in France, in 2001! Now we are going back with kids and friends. Thanks for the rec.
