Restaurants in Beaune

Any restaurant recommendations in Beaune? Here's the kicker - we'll be there on a Sunday when a lot of restaurants are closed!

Beaune is such a lovely little town! We just enjoyed walking around and "stumbling" into a local place. Not sure what restaurant we ended up at, but the food was plentiful and delicious for a good price. I'll be back there in September and can't wait to see where I'll stumble this time.
Enjoy Beaune!

We enjoyed meals at Le Petit Paradis and Le Conty. Both are in Rick's guidebook.

We sure enjoyed La Ciboulette one evening, simple regional fare done extremely well. And, they're open on Sundays!

We dined at Caveau des Arches which we enjoyed, the dining room is underground. Not sure of the days they are open.

We had a couple of really good meals at La Grilladine. Checked their web site and it indicates they are open on Sunday, but who knows how current that is.

Brasserie le Carnot. Nothing fancy but good food and easy service. Some locals and some tourists and they are open Sunday. Bœuf Bourguignon with a green salad was great. Loved Beaune and Burgundy. Rent a bike and head South for some tastings in the nearby towns.

We just returned from a trip that included a stay in Beaune. We stayed at Hostellerie de Bretonniere which was a good accommodation in a nice location easily walkable to the old city. Warning - we stayed on a Saturday and went out in the evening to find a place for dinner, and all restaurants were full! We found no place with any vacancy and returned to our room with a bottle of wine and some bread & cheese. If you are there on a weekend, suggest stopping by any of the many restaurants in town earlier in the day and making a reservation, if not calling ahead first. P.S. the breakfast at the hotel, while an extra charge, was excellent with fresh squeezed juices and fruit, excellent croissants and cheese.
