Bonjour!
due to unfortunate circumstances our itinerary has changed and we are in need of a charming hotel for just one night in Lyon. We have 3 nights booked but the 4th night we are scrambling to find a room. This will be April 25th (Saturday). We are staying in the Presqu'ile area off of Rue President Edouard Herriot.
Any recent stays in Lyon you would recommend?

I really liked Hotel des Celestins, but I'm not sure what your definition of "charming" is. Rick recommends the hotel in his guidebook and I would happily stay there again.

Hotel Celestine’s is booked unfortunately. I will absolutely look into the Le Royal as I have heard from others about this group of hotels… all favorable.

I liked the Hotel des Artistes a lot, very well located and well run. Looks like they have at least one room that night.

We can also recommend the Hotel De Artistes. It is well run and close to many of the restaurants recommended in Rick’s guidebooks. Lyon is one of Europe’s great food cities, so make sure you take the time to partake.
