We are going to Paris for the first time in August and would like to have dinner somewhere with a view of the Eiffel tower that is good, yet reasonable. It will be my husband and I with our 20yo daughter.
In US dollars what do you consider reasonable?
$100/pp or less maybe?
Check out Le Ciel de Paris restaurant on the top of the Tour Montparnasse. They have a 3 course fixed price dinner menu for 68 euros and a 3 course lunch menu for 39 euros. Touristy, yes, but the views are spectacular and I had no problem with the food (I did lunch). Next time, I would try to go in the evening as the sun sets and the lights of the city come on (and stay until the Eiffel Tower lights up!). Reservations definitely recommended and can be done at their easy to navigate web site in advance. See sites like Trip Advisor and Yelp for reviews to help you decide.
Try Les Ombres Restaurant at the Musee du Quai Branley in the 7th. Terrific view of the Eiffel Tower.
