Has anyone used [email protected] recommended from vacation in Paris in July the day before Bastille Day?
Any recommendations like Uber or taxi or local metro and buses or shuttles. I haven't
used their public transportation and I am a little nervous because I have read so many articles about pick pockets
One article from sightseekersdelight mentioned a bunch of people who surround you and then take your things and then slip off the metro right before they close the doors.
There is a taxi rank outside the station. Follow the signs. Do not accept offers of taxi from anyone approaching you as you walk outside. Cannot advise re metro or bus because you did not say where you are headed. At any rate, since you are nervous, take a taxi. Write your destination address to give to the driver.
We always take a taxi upon arrival in Paris. So much easier with luggage and especially if you are going to an address you’ve not been to prior. No need to reserve a private car. Just join the line at the taxi rank.
I'd be a bit wary of using someplace that has a gmail address rather than a company address.
Outside the right hand side (as you are exiting trains) of the train station is the taxi cue. Very easy. Ignore anyone that walks up to you and offers you a taxi ride. Invest in a PacSafe or Travelon bag that the has a locking zipper if you are worried about your hand bag.
