Hi, we are staying in the Montparnasse area for a few days. Looking for restaurant recommendations nearby.
Thank you, Pat
I've eaten in that area a couple of times and met friends for apero/drinks as well.
Do you follow any of the content from "France with Vero" who is a Rick Steves guide? Here is a really nice YouTube video she did a year or so ago.

Because of her recommendations I've eaten at Le Select and enjoyed it a lot.
I've also eaten at Odessa which is right by the Edgar Quinet Metro stop. I had the best Saint-Germain Spritz there!
I've met up with friends at La Coupole where Josephine Baker and others used to hang out. It's a gorgeous Art Deco room if you enjoy that architectural style.

Along Rue du Montparnasse are a number of creperies. The Gare Montparnasse was the train station where people arrived from Brittany so apparently many of them stayed locally and started restaurants selling Breton food.
Thank you Pam for the recommendations! I watched the video and Le Select looks really good. We will definitely check this one out.
I love that video...she makes me want to be there RIGHT NOW!
Le Relais de l'Entrecôte is a classic in Montparnasse. They only serve steak frites but it's very reliable. Just get there early because the line starts forming before they even open.
I ate lunch at Le Select yesterday as recommended by Vero and enjoyed it. Daily menu specials, 2 courses for 28Euros. I had daurade (I think it is sea bream) delicious with zucchini and creme brûlée.
