Paris hotels recommendation

We are traveling to Paris in early Aug. and looked at couple hotels near Louvre, St. Germain area. Those are Hotel Terese, Novotel, Hotel de Lille, Hotel Verneuil. We are looking for hotel has comfort bed and decent size and good breakfast. One of friend mentioned Marais area as well. This is first time and we are thinking to stay close to all the museum and attraction areas.
Any body who have stayed above hotels can give us review or give us some good recommendation would be great.
Thank you.

Hello there. I have not stayed at the hotels you’ve mentioned but I can recommend the Millesime Hotel in the St. Germain area. We stayed there in December 2022. The room was a good size, we chose a superior room. We loved the area, there were lots of good restaurants and cafes. We thought it was an ideal area from which to walk all over Paris. We also loved that it was a quiet area and away from all the noise of busier areas. We would definitely stay at this hotel again, and definitely stay in the St. Germain neighborhood No matter where you choose to stay, have a wonderful time.

We had a good experience at Hotel Madison in the 6th. Love this area.

We love staying the Latin Quarter/St. Germain area. So convenient for seeing the sights and getting around. We haven’t stayed in any of your hotels, but I can wholeheartedly recommend two others: Hotel des Grands Hommes, and Hôtel les Dames du Pantheon. They are right next to each other and are on Place du Pantheon. Delightful! Both have great breakfasts, and if you spring for a room with a balcony (worth it!), you can get your breakfast on a tray and eat on your balcony looking at the Pantheon. Completely dreamy.

Have a great trip!

We always stay in the Latin Quarter/St. Germain area; the last time we were there, which was last May, we stayed at Dauphine Saint Germain Hotel (https://dauphine-st-germain.com/en/), which is an easy walk to the Louvre, Sainte Chappelle, or the Notre Dame area (although there's sadly not much to see there these days).

Just down St. Germain des Prés are lots of great restaurants; the famous Deux Magots, for example, is 3 minutes away. We found a nice little corner bar a block away where we had afternoon beer or wine. A block the other way, we found a couple of places for breakfast in the mornings.

Rooms were very nice, hotel is quiet, on a quiet side street; when we go back to Paris we'll definitely stay there again.

If you're looking for a hotel with a comfortable bed, decent size, and a good breakfast, there are several options in the Louvre and St. Germain area. Of the hotels you mentioned, the Novotel and Hotel Verneuil are both well-reviewed and offer comfortable accommodations and breakfast options.

In addition to those, the Hotel de Buci is another option in the St. Germain area that offers spacious rooms and a great breakfast. As for the Marais area, there are plenty of charming hotels to choose from, such as the Hotel Caron de Beaumarchais and the Hotel du Petit Moulin, which both have comfortable beds and delicious breakfast options.
