Paris Hotel Recommendations for July

Hello, first time to Paris. I booked a hotel in the 12th arrondissement (Sanit Mande') called Kab Hotel. Does anyone have any insight on this area and/or Hotel? If this isnt a good area could you make suggestions?

Also has anyone stayed in Sainte Suzanne? We were thinking about staying 1 night on our return from MSM.

Thank you

There does not appear to be an official website for the hotel, which is a bit suspicious,
but going off the booking.com site, it looks fine. The location is a bit away from the tourist
sights, but you are near a metro stop, so as long as you're OK using the metro, fine.

There is only 1 review of this hotel with no comments, which is also a bit suspicious.

Google street view does not show a hotel at that location, which is a bit suspicious (the
view is from Aug 2024, so you'd think it would be there).

The lack of search engine hits apart from booking.com is at the least an orange flag.

All those suspicions would make me a bit leery. I don't know how you found this place,
but I hope you did your due diligence.

Finally, the booking.com page says nothing about the hotel having A/C. That is a big risk
in Paris in July.

I booked a hotel in the 12th arrondissement (Sanit Mande') called Kab Hotel.

It's not actually a hotel, per se, it's a glorified AirBnB room. Basically, it's an apartment building that was turned into "hotel rooms". Most of the rooms look like they're former studio apartments.

Here's the AirBnB site for the Casa Sol 20 places which is where a Google reverse image search shows the pics of the Kab "hotel" coming from.

Is this this the site you found the place at originally?

The first poster raised many red flags. I’d look elsewhere. When I look at the listing it appears to be a rental flat rather than a hotel and the owner manages 22 properties . I agree that air conditioning is a must.

I stayed at Hotel Le Regent last Sept and was pleased.

I booked a hotel in the 12th arrondissement (Sanit Mande') called Kab Hotel.

The links that others have provided show that the lodging is not in the 12th arrondissement, but near it, in the city of Saint-Mandé (which borders Paris).

This isn't necessarily a problem (although more broadly speaking, what people are finding about this lodging raises several red flags), but it's just important to know the difference.

It's a nice area, and the Line 1 automated metro provides quick access into the center of the city. But the postcode (and the map!) at Agoda shows it’s not in Paris.

Thanks everyone! Much appreciated, I cancelled and booked Hotel Leon. Any insight on that hotel?

It would be helpful to know what you plan to do in Paris.

Have you looked at Google Maps to see the environment around Hotel Leon?

For a first time visit to Paris I would prefer a hotel closer to the Seine and maybe within walking distance of Notre Dame.
