Paris at Christmas with family of 6

Going to Paris from 12/24-12/30 with 5 adults to visit adult daughter working in Versailles.
Looking for accommodations in Paris (Latin Quarter/Le Marais/St Germaine) which will have at least 4 beds. No sofa beds!

Have gotten burned too many times with airbnb. Can anyone give some good hotel type recommendations? At worst we would be renting 3 bedrooms in a hotel (1 room king/queen; 2 more rooms each with doubles). Would prefer a suite type situation or REALLY GOOD RECOMMENDED Rental with a rental company that provides excellent service.

Also, since we will be there for Christmas Eve/Christmas and perhaps stay on for New Years Eve, any location that would be especially good for the holiday.
Thanks so much

Having struggled with trying to find lodging for 4 without a sofa bed, I know that finding lodging for 6 is almost impossible. Rooms with two queen size beds in a single room are VERY hard to find, just about anywhere in Europe. You may be best off to rent 3 rooms, each with a double bed. Be aware that a “double” bed is often equivalent to a “full” size in the US. Any couple used to sharing a queen will notice the difference. A “double” could also mean two “twin” size beds pushed together. This is bigger than one “double” bed.

What is your budget per night?

Look at the Hotel Residence des Artes. Small boutique hotel with only two rooms per floor. They will rent both rooms as an “apartment”, or separately as a “Jr.suite” and a “double” room. The double room is a good size with a queen bed, bathroom (shower only) and mini fridge. The Jr. suite has a BIG bathroom with seperate tub and shower, sitting room with sofa bed, TV, desk, mini fridge, microwave and 2-burner stove; bedroom with desk, huge closet, huge king bed separated from sitting room by a curtain. The Jr. suite is palatial for Paris size standards.

We stayed there in Nov. 2019 and the location is perfect.

Cindy,
I can’t speak about accommodations but we will also be there over Christmas. My son and daughter-in-law his were there at Christmas 3 years ago and had Christmas Eve dinner at https://www.aubergedelareineblanche.fr/en/.
We recommended it as it is in RS book and we had dinner there before, It’s on the isle and run by a family. They enjoyed it for a family feel at Christmas. We plan to go there there this Christmas Eve.

Last December, my family of 4 stayed in a 3 bedroom, 2 bath apartment in the Marais. It had two king beds and the third bedroom had 2 twins. Unfortunately, that apartment and the other two the rental agency rent are booked during your time frame. I think I booked the apartment 6 months out and travel hadn't returned to previous levels at that point so the calendar was more open than it is now.

I know that those apartment are booked, but I'm responding so that in the future, someone might search this topic and find my link. Or if you need it in the future for a return trip.

Here is the link:https://www.pad-a-terre.com/

Good luck and enjoy your trip!
