Outstanding Lodging near Arles: Mas Petit du Grava

This is a wonderfully pleasant and comfortable lodging for anyone who enjoys roomy and comfortable rooms, great breakfasts, and delightful company! Jim and Ike are the most gracious and helpful hosts, and are more than willing to share their knowledge and travel materials as well as books from their extensive library. They are just outside Arles and provide easy access to the whole region: Pont du Gard, Avignon, Nice, Les Baux, and the Camargue are easy day or partial trips. Although this B&B feels very country-relaxed, it has ready access to major highways as well as wonderful country lanes to get you where you want to go. The grounds are beautifully landscaped, and every breakfast includes some products from their garden or orchard. We would return to southern France for many reasons, but the top reason would be to stay at Mas Petit and spend more enjoyable conversations with Ike and Jim!

Thank you for your posting. We will be staying there in October driving down from the Jura area. It is at the end of a three week trip so we are looking forward to exploring Arles and soaking up the countryside at a more relaxed pace.

We were one of three couples who had the pleasure of staying with Jim and Ike for several days in Early September. Everything is true in the above review. It was a highlight of of our three week trip. Jim is an expert on Vincent Van Gogh and is eager to share his passion if you just ask. We enjoyed our discussions with Ike as well and had some lively moments sharing thoughts about the US presidential race. They are both filled with knowledge about restaurants and places to visit in the area. If you are a pianist, there is a grand there for your enjoyment. In the warmer months you can also take a refreshing dip in their pool. We would return in a heartbeat for an even longer stay. Cindy and Doug. Hillsborough NC
