O Chateau Paris Wine Class

Stan and I took the O Chateau wine class yesterday, and recommend it. The sommelier, Justin, was very knowledgeable, explaining terminology, varieties, wines, and regions very clearly and thoroughly. He was entertaining, as well.

We tasted 6 wines, each from a different region of France. Water and baguette slices were provided gratis, and plates of cheeses and charcuterie were available for purchase.

Although their website says class sizes are reduced because of Covid, our group of about 20 filled the small tasting room. That was the only downside of the experience. Well, that, and the group tended to get more lively (meaning loud) as the sesion wore on.

The class cost 69 euros, lasted 2 hours, and covered 6 wines. The wines were good and the explanations were excellent. Recommended.

What a fun time! Thanks for the recommendation!

Did that help or hurt with jet lag?😬😁

I had the wine and cheese tasting on my last visit pre covid. Excellent experience.

Pam, hard to say, considering we went from there to dinner, where we had more wine and a digestif. Or two. What actually helped more than anything was walking from the wine class north of the Louvre to the restaurant across from our hotel, several blocks east of the Pantheon. Not quite as far as we had walked the previous evening, from our hotel to the Rue Cler area, but far enough to work up an appetite.

We're still somewhat draggy, but are planning a quiet evening tonight.

Oh how I wish we were there with you both. Some day we will travel again together. Sounds like a great tour to do if and when we go back.

Kim, you would have enjoyed it. And yes, we need to travel together again. Maybe next year? Are you interested in Spain or Portugal?
