Our family of 4 is looking for a place to stay around Nice and we have been finding that availability is very limited. Are there any suggestions for a B&B in Nice? We can also stay somewhere in the surrounding area as we will have a car. Thanks!

You have to cast a wide net to see who still has availability. Nice has more rooms to rent, but smaller towns along the coast can also be convenient (Antibes, Menton, etc). If you find a place through a search engine like hotels.com, the hotel will usually still appreciate you booking direct on their web site.

Four of us shared a wonderful apartment right on Promenade des Anglaises. We found it on VRBO. I don't know the availability, but you can easily check the calendar on the site. It has three bedrooms, 2 baths, kitchen, living room / dining room, and a deck looking out on the Mediterranean through the palm trees.

We just spent 4 nights at the Fiance' du Pirate in Villefranche. Villefranche was a great Riviera base. Much smaller than Nice, easier to navigate and between Nice and Monaco and all the sights. Nice waterfront for dining too. Hotel was great with super views of the mountains and sea, reasonable rates, excellent veranda breakfast, free parking, helpful friendly staff and a nice pool. It is conveniently located on the Middle Corniche. I highly recommend.
