Marais hotel family suites for group of 5?

I am seeking a reasonable rate and good recommendation for a hotel in the Marais for our family of five. Many that I've seen would require us to reserve 3 rooms!

Any suggestions for a 1 or 2 room arrangement in a ** or *** hotel would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!!

Laurie, don't overlook the idea of renting an apartment instead of trying to shoehorn your group into too small and too expensive hotels. Without exception, my rentals of apartments in Paris, Nice, and other cities have been much more convenient and enjoyable than hotels. Go to www.vrbo.com or to airb&b.com to see what I mean. If you are staying in Paris for 3 or more days, this is the ticket. Wally

Wally, thanks for the recommendation. I am hesitant to rent an apartment only because I haven't done so in Paris before! It really helps to hear that you've have great experiences.

I checked VRBO and found some possibilities. It seems like a very reputable site - hopefully avoiding any of the "apartment crackdowns in Paris" that I'd read about on other threads in this forum.

The only things that are giving me a bit of pause are the 60 day cancellation policy - many hotels have a 24-48 hour policy that seems less stressful to me. Also, the 500E security deposit - is that typically refunded upon departure?

Thanks for any additional information you can share!

You might like the apartments and homes available at Airbnb. https://www.airbnb.com/s/Paris--France?guests=5

www.homeaway.com also has some great choices like these two which would allow 5 guests >
(1) www.homeaway.com/vacation-rental/p3465746
(2) www.homeaway.com/vacation-rental/p3465739
We often rent apartments in Paris from Homeaway. In fact, we have lived in Paris long term in an apartment.

Some do refund upon departure and others credit your card very shortly. It depends and you will need to ask. You will get your deposit back if nothing is damaged or missing. If you rent from Homeaway, you can purchase the Homeaway Carefree Rental Insurance just in case you need to cancel at any point. That is what we do. Homeaway has not had any problems with apartment rental crackdowns in Paris because they register and pay their taxes unlike many on other middleman sites like Airbnb , VRBO. etc.
