On our recent visit to Bayeux we had lunch in a lovely cafe called Pourquoi Pas. There were a number of tables available outside along the street and sidewalk with very comfortable seating inside. Salads were very tasty and their onion soup was lovely - prices very reasonable. We had a local draft cider that was wonderful. This cafe is located outside the "tourist zone" but on one of the main road entrances into the town. I noted on TA that it is positively rated by a number of folks.
