Loved this Unique "Hotel" in Lyon

I'll preface this by saying this hotel is not for everybody. But, we both absolutely loved the experience. I booked a hotel through Expedia (able to pick out the specific room decor) called Mon Hotel Particulier. It was an apartment room in the Vieux Lyon portion of town in one of the private Troboules. The 14th century architecture had arched ceilings like a church crypt, and the doors were heavy, old wood. We climbed a spiral stone staircase up to the 2nd level.

Each evening we were excited to return and enjoy the ambiance of this unique apartment. It was so fun that my hubby videoed us "coming home" one afternoon.

Sounds wonderful! We just left Lyon and our VRBO was not at all charming or convenient :( But it was inexpensive.

Linda, this one cost us about $110 a night which I thought was a good price to what I had been searching for tradition hotel rooms.
