Looking for Paris Hotel near the Seine??

We are taking our trip next year in fall and the hotel we were looking at (Hotel Quai du Voltaire) is closed the entire year for renovations. Anyone have any recommendations for another hotel near the Seine (our budget is 150 - 200 euros). Thanks a bunch.

You can take a look at Hotel St Louis--may suit your budget. I took a look at recent pics and our room looked nothing like the ones shown. The plain room was very small and bathroom tiny. Room overlooked street and there was early morning noise--trash pick up. But they show attractive rooms on their site. I suppose we didn't qualify for any of those...

Don't rule out staying in the absolute center of Paris on Ile St. Louis because you think the rates will be too high. Depending on your needs and the season, you may find rates quite reasonable.

We've stayed at Hotel des Deux-Iles and really enjoyed the location. It's quiet with friendly and helpful front desk personnel. Very well located -- cross the river and you will be in the Marais -- cross it the other way and you'll be in The Latin Quarter. Walk to the end of the island, cross the bridge, and you'll be close to Notre Dame -- such as it is now as much of the immediate area is closed off. The Metro is near enough that getting anywhere is not a problem.

We email them and request rate and booking information and get a reply within 24 hours. We opted out of the hotel breakfast as it seemed, to us, expensive for what was offered. If you do stay on the island we know where you can get a great little breakfast for a good price.

If they can't accommodate you, a few doors away is their sister hotel named Hotel de Lutece. We would stay there based simply on our experience at Hotel des Deux-Iles.

There is another hotel on the island named Hôtel Saint-Louis en l´Isle. They have (or had) a dedicated shuttle that will pick you up at the airport . Not sure about the cost. It may be complimentary depending on the length of your stay. Now that taxis into the city from the airport charge a flat rate that may be the way to get to any hotel.

Spend a few minutes googling hotels on the island and that should give you an idea if staying on there is a possibility, or if you should rule it out.

If tight budget is a thing ( it always is for me ) Ive stayed at Hotel Eugenie.. " deluxe " rooms are fine.. small.. outdated decor ( or you could call it atmospheric..lol ) .. but clean,, has good ac, room safe, mini fridge , and location is VERY central...
On the border in the 6th next to 5th.. less than a block from Seine..

In the past year I've stayed in both the Hotel Saint Louis (3) and the Hotel du Jeu de Paume (4), which is on the same street. I liked them both.

I was in my own in the Hotel Saint Louis so the small room wasn't an issue. It was very comfortable, nicely decorated - and quiet, despite overlooking the street.

The room in the Jeu de Paume was much larger, also comfortable and nicely decorated and quiet. I had a similar room rate in both cases and the Jeu de Paume actually actually cost a little less for our dates in May.

In both cases, we had breakfast in the nearby Cafe Saint-Regis.

The hotel Saint Louis has a shuttle from CDG or the main stations. I believe the cost from CDG is the same as a taxi.

Thanks so much everyone for the great suggestions. We were a bit deflated finding out the hotel we really liked was going to be closed for an entire year. I really appreciate all your input.

We stayed in the Hotel de Lutece on Ile Saint-Louis as was mentioned above. We loved it and the island with its restaurants, cafes and shops. €250 a night in April 2018.
Rates may vary depending on the season.
