Lodging recommendations in southern France

We recently returned from a truly wonderful three week trip in France, starting in Nice and ending in Paris. We have traveled around Northern Europe six times in the past few years (thank you, Rick Steves). This time, the following three lodgings were noteworthy: 1. Bastide de la Brague, Antibes - welcoming and helpful hosts, comfortable and clean lodgings, quiet location, fantastic dinners. 2. L'Eveche Chambres, Vaison la Romaine - gorgeous art-filled home in the atmospheric medieval village, thoughtfully appointed rooms, gracious hosts. 3. Le Petit Versailles, Beynac - a quiet oasis in a beautiful home with outstanding homemade breakfasts, comfortable rooms, helpful hosts. We stayed several nights in each place and recommend them highly.

Lucebear,
Thanks for sharing the names of these lodgings. I second your statement about L'Eveche. The hosts were great and it is a warm and inviting place in a beautiful part of France. I also am very found of both Beynac and Antibes so I will file your recommendations for future reference.

Another vote for L'Eveche Chambres in Vaison la Romaine. Beautiful, quiet B&B in the medieval village. We loved our hosts, Aude and Jean-Loup who live in their B&B.
