Restaurant Ile de Crete, 86 rue de Gand, Lille, France While we found Lille itself to be a little rough and not especially charming, this wonderful Greek restaurant at the top of the restaurant row street was a true oasis. We had a very friendly welcome by young, tall Nick, who spoke enough English to guide us through a fantastic dinner and superb, inexpensive wines. It made the whole experience of this short stop-over worthwhile.
