It you are at the Paris Gare de Lyon station it is worth taking a later train to eat at Le Train Bleu. We did exactly this on another traveler's recommendation. We took a later train so we could have lunch at this unique restaurant. The food was fabulous. If you do not have time for a meal then go to the bar and have a drink or snack. Much better than sitting in the station.
I have this restaurant on my list for our next trip to Paris. Friends ate there recently and gave it rave reviews for both atmosphere and food.
Maybe it’s improved but the food I had there was basically inedible. The service was horrible.
I strongly recommend going to the bar having a drink and then taking a slow walk to the bathrooms, but there’s no need to waste your money on that garbage that I experienced
I was told not to go there by some locals and they were right
Will rethink about having dinner, maybe just a drink. Thanks.
I found the food and service at Le Train Bleu to be mediocre or worse especially considering the cost but I have heard that a new chef has been hired since the last time I was there so maybe it is better now.
I did not mention that our visit to Le Train Blue was last week. I am not sure how long ago some people ate at the restaurant. As far as prices, it was expensive for the train station but it is Paris. Check the prices before you go so you are not surprised.
you get one shot in my book. Too many consistently good places in Paris to risk it. I won't be back!
