We recently (April 2018) stayed at Le lys de Castelnaud in Vezac in the Dordogne region. It was a delightful experience, with Owner-Hosts Ysae and Jean Marc. They are SO much fun, so enthusiastic, and so very helpful!! We were still talking about them many days later in our trip. The place is very clean, extremely well-appointed with medieval artifacts, and the breakfasts were plentiful and full of local and regional items, all fresh. Ysae and Jean Marc gave us many suggestions for markets, attractions, restaurants, caves, and so on. One of the highlights of our trip was the nearby Marquessac Gardens -- which we did not know about at all until our hosts suggested a visit. The room rates are excellent, and the views across the valley to the castle on the far hill are magical. We would never have found this gem but for the RS Guide, and they deserve to be in it!!
