Le Florimond and historic brasseries.

Has anyone been to Le Florimond lately? Years ago I had a wonderful meal there. Is it still a good place to eat?

And any recommendations for historic brasseries?

I went twice this past February. Very good food, friendly greetings and service, cosy atmosphere. I stopped in at lunch one day to make a reservation for later in the week. Then while I was eating dinner the first night I made a reservation for the next week. I was in Paris for 10 days. They do fill up, I wouldn’t risk going without a reservation. I had been on 2 different trips in past years.

I’ll be a dissenting voice here. Having been a fan of Le Florimond for years, I made the mistake of trying to recapture the lovely feeling I’d always had there and came away deeply disappointed. This was in autumn 2024. I won’t return, but it sounds like they’ll survive without me.

Hi Sherry,
My wife and I were there fairly recently (25?) and thoroughly enjoyed it. The food the service and the entire dinner was one we remember often.
