Le Dokhan's Tribute Portfolio hotel?

Hi all, just wondering if anyone here has stayed at, or can comment on, the Le Dokhan's Portfolio hotel (117 Rue Lauriston). We have a reservation there for our two nights in Paris before a Viking river cruise. Using Marriott points but hoping this hotel is in a good location for both sightseeing and getting to the boat on departure day. I'm wondering if there might be another Marriott that would be a better choice. Also, any restaurant recommendations near the hotel for dinner our first evening, assuming we stick with Le Dokhan's.

Thanks,
Nancy

I am not a fan of the location of Le Dohkan mainly because I find the 16th to be bit out of the way for regular sightseeing. That being said, it's only about a 10 to 15-minute taxi ride to the Viking dock that I know of (Port de Grenelle). I think the Marriott Opera Ambassador Hotel, Le Roch Hotel & Spa, the Renaissance Paris Vendome, and the Westin Paris - Vendome are all better situated than Le Dokhan for a two-day trip. And unless you are planning on walking to the dock, all are just as well situated for getting to the dock because it's a taxi ride. The Westin Paris - Vendome is probably the closet via taxi to the dock of the ones that I mentioned.

Just commenting on these options mentioned above. The Westin should be avoided IMHO. It's apparently leaving the Marriott program and from what a coworker told me it's becoming INCREDIBLY run down. He says the staff is also jumping ship so you are left with people who don't seem to care.

Personally, I was totally unimpressed with the Opera Ambassador location ... The Rennaissance Vendome gets great reviews so it would be on my list.

Personally, I liked Le Dokhan's when I stayed there, but I don't have to be "centrally located" My favorite Marriott unfortunately is closed until 2024 (or possibly beyond)

Thank you both for your comments. Since we only have two days I think the Rennaissance Vendome might be a better choice this time. When I plug it in on google maps and plot out the places we want to go it is significantly more convenient for walking.
