Hotels or B&B suggestions near Porte d Orleans Central Paris

Greetings , My wife and I are trying to book a trip to Paris for end of may early April.

Can any give us a idea of places (Hotel or B&B's) somewhere close to the Porte d Orleans in central Paris ?

This would be our second trip to Paris, but our first trip was just a day excursion from London. Prices can very for us
I've been viewing trip advisor from 90 Euros on up. We would like something that is not "typical chain" type Hotels.

For instance we have stayed at Rubens at the Palace in London and enjoyed it.

Thanks for any suggestions

The Porte d'Orléans is not in central Paris, it's on the southern perimeter of the city. Do you have a particular reason for wanting to stay there?

A lot of the less expensive hotels clustered near the various Porte(s) all around the Peripherique unfortunately are chain hotels, many at various lower end levels of hotels in the Accor group. I don't have a decent answer which meets your criteria. Sorry.
