Hotels in Bayeux

Does anyone have recommendations for two night stay in Bayeux? Looking at Hotel d'Argouges and Au Loup. Any tips appreciated.

We stayed at Hotel d'Argouges in May and enjoyed the stay. It has free parking in back and is set back from the street so it was quiet. Breakfast was okay. The staff were friendly. The one drawback was the lack of an elevator and we were on the top floor.

It was a while ago but we enjoyed staying at the Logis Les Remparts. Free parking was available. Our room was lovely and the optional continental breakfast was good. Current reviews online are highly favorable. I believe this lodging was listed in Rick’s guidebook when we traveled.

It was awhile ago (2012), but I stayed in the Hotel Le Petit Matin. Though it's a budget-oriented hotel, it was perfectly comfortable. The hotel is within walking distance of the train station and the town center.

Note that Le Petit Matin is not a hotel, but a charming guesthouse with, I believe, 5 rooms. We hd an excellent stay there 10 years back.

We stayed in the Lion d'Or in Bayeux last month. Old coaching inn, beautifully renovated. Very central. Free parking, but must be booked in advance.

This past June we stayed in Le Petit Matin with Pascal. It is mentioned in Rick's book. It was lovely and there was parking right on the square. Breakfast was fantastic, and we took advantage of the backyard for some drinks and chatting at the end of our day. He has 5 rooms and we did a triple and a twin.

We had a good experience at Hotel Lion d’Or and recommend it. Its breakfast also attracted those not staying there as it was fantastic!

We stayed at Hotel Tardiff. An absolutely perfect location, in a romantic setting. No AC, but even in August, this was not a problem.

The resident cat greeted us each morning at breakfast, free parking on site. Literally across the corner from the cathedral.
