Looking for a 4 star hotel in one of these areas for the month of May. Would be for 6 nights for my husband and I. Appreciate any input! Thank you
We stayed at Hotel Monge in the 5th this past June, and we loved it. Quiet street, easy walk to the Pantheon, Cluny, and not a bad walk to Notre Dame and Saint Chapelle. Super convenient Metro lines a block away. Incredibly helpful hotel staff. We didn’t opt for breakfast (Maison Isabelle is a 5-10 minute walk and their croissants are amazing!) and didn’t avail ourselves of the honor bar, but both looked nice. Cappuccino machine available 24/7. Small but up to date and well appointed rooms with spacious modern bathrooms. Fluffy robes. A/C. Super comfortable beds. A mini fridge stocked with bottled water, beer, juice (I think….we only drank the cold water which was replenished daily) all complimentary. Modern elevator. There’s also a spa you can book as well as a sauna you can book at no charge. Would absolutely stay there again.
I can suggest two: our friends visited Paris this year while we were there, and stayed in Hotel des Arenes, on Rue Monge. Great location, near the Monge Market, Arenes de Lutece, and 2 Metro lines. They loved it.
Our "go to" hotel is Hotel Des Grandes Ecoles, a little closer (not much!) to the Pantheon, and definitely closer to Rue Mouffetard and the Place de la Contrescarpe. And the Monge Market. The hotel sits well off the street, behind a big gate, and has a great garden with plenty of places to sit, relax, enjoy the evening, or have breakfast. We're hooked!
I can’t recommend this one enough- lovely quiet place, amazing staff, helpful too. We could tell them what we’ve done/eaten and what we hoped for and they’d steer us to winning restaurants and activities!
We too liked the Hotel des Grandes Ecoles for location, comfort, and the quiet garden. We didn't have breakfast there, but instead at the Cafe Descartes right up the street.
Thank you so much for your help!!!
