Hotel Muguet near Rue Cler

We are completing our stay at Hotel Muguet and wanted to share our wonderful experience. We arrived mid-afternoon on September 7th and our room was available it was #2 in the garden. Fantastic KING, yes you heard right, King size bed. The bed was very comfortable and sheets were soft. Bathroom had walk in shower with new or newer fixtures.
Breakfast was fantastic, fresh scrambled eggs, great choices of bread or croissants and jams and jellies. They have a machine that squeezes oranges and gives great juice. Never seen anything like it.
The staff is very friendly and most speak English better than I do. It has been a great experience and if we come back this will be my first choice. This is our 5th trip to Paris and we have done the VRBO thing, stayed in the hotel once and this beats them all. There is a clean laundromat just down the street that was easy to use and very reasonably priced.
One of the gents at the front desk that Rick's tours have stayed here and that when Rick comes he gets our room.
Reading some of the comments about Rue Cler give it a bad rap. We liked it, it wasn't very crowded and the people watching can't be beat. We had dinner at several of the cafes and the food was good, servers fantastic and fair priced. If you want cheap eats go me McDonalds or something.
Highly recommend Hotel Muguet!!

Been staying there since the early 90’s.

Would laugh in the tiny elevator thinking of Ned Glass’s demise in the film Charade.

Glad to hear it still maintains an excellent level of service.

I stayed in this hotel on my RS Paris and the Heart of France tour and had a similar pleasant experience. My room was also off the garden and was very comfortable. The front desk staff were also helpful. Location was convenient to metro, Rodin Museum, Eiffel Tower and Rue Cler which I enjoyed!

I'm so glad you enjoyed Muguet! I think the sheets and towels are the best of any hotel I've stayed at in Paris.

I'll bet that was Sergio you were talking to at the reception desk. He is very talkative and friendly. Very helpful and knowledgeable. When I was there in April he called to me as I was leaving one morning and asked me to stay a moment. When he finished with the other guests he said...I just read there might be a demonstration at a trade union building near here this afternoon so I want to show you where on a map and make sure you don't walk home thru that area on your way home later. What a great guy!

So happy you've had a similar experience!

We stayed there in 2003 and had a unique encounter in the lobby. It was our first European trip taking our children, then ages 6 and 10. As we were getting organized in the lobby, our children said "Mom there is the lady from Freaky Friday". I looked and there was the actress Jamie Lee Curtis standing next to our children. She was picking up her aunt who was staying at the hotel. She was very nice to our children which made our stay at the hotel even more special.

This is great to hear! We are going in April and staying there. What I didn't realize about Paris was how difficult and expensive it is to find a room for three (two adults plus child)! We found such a room here that was more than I had anticipated but I feel lucky to have found it at all. Thanks for this extra boost!
