RS Provence guidebook lists hotels as having rooms with bathroom (tub/shower). Are we safe in assuming this includes a private toilet also?

Yes, you are safe to assume that. But you can always check with the hotel directly by email to be extra sure. I wouldn't feel the need to, but some people might.

Hi Traveller, when you e-mail the hotel let them know what you're looking for. For example, a double room for 2 people with a shower and toilet in the room. They will let you know whether or not what you want is available and what the cost will be. No problem.
