Hotel le Regent. Paris

I am just finishing up a 5 night stay in this hotel

Plus: location, location, location. So many things are within walking distance. Odeon Metro is closest and it is two blocks away. Price, when mandatory city tax was added at today’s exchange rates it turned out to average $220/night. Many cafes and restaurants surround and a large grocery just 5 min away. Rooms are clean, staff friendly. Both air conditioning and Wi-fi were great. No street noise heard in a neighborhood that is pretty hopping at night. Bathrooms exceptionally nice.

Minus: Small rooms and a bit of a quirky layout of rooms. Bedding accessories seemed a bit old. Elevator little and could fit 1 person and two bags or two people and no bags. One day it was under repair and my room on the 5th floor seemed a long way up.

For me, the pluses far outweighed the minuses and I would stay here again.

On our first trip to Europe 21 years ago, we went to Paris and stayed a week at Hotel Le Regent, based on recommendations from this site. (Although it may have been the RS graffiti wall back then? lol) It was, as you said, a very convenient location, especially for us first-timers. Glad to hear it is still a wonderful option. Thank you for posting a review, that I am sure will help others.
