Hotel La Comtesse in Paris

I have not stayed there, but have stayed nearby at Hotel Muguet many years ago which is in a quiet area and also has a few Tower view rooms.

While convenient when visiting the Eiffel Tower, just be aware that the location of the Hotel La Comtessa will require either long walks (about 40 to 50 minutes to Notre Dame, the Louvre, the Pantheon, Luxembourg Gardens,...) to many of the major sights in Paris or taking bus, metro or taxi/Uber.

Thank you so much for the info! Possibly take the metro to the Louvre and work our way back, seeing sights along the way?? Is there metro station close to the hotel area??

Take a look at Google Maps for your hotel. The circles with the M inside it are Metro Stations. Nearby stations to La Comtesse are Ecole Militaire on line 8, Saint Francis Xavier on line 13 and La Motte Picquet Grenelle on line 10.

In some instances, like from your hotel to Notre Dame, you may want to consider the bus. From the stop near your hotel bus 86 will drop you about a 7 minute walk across the Seine to the Cathedral. Taking the metro would require either a transfer or longer walking to/from the station.(Although walking in Paris is never a bad idea.) You also see more of Paris on the bus than below the city on the Metro.

There are several apps that will give you precise directions when using public transportation in Paris. I like the Citymapper app. It tells me what entrance and exit to use at the station. Alerts me when my stop is coming up. It also gives walking directions.
