Looking for a recommendation for a hotel in Lyon, France in June.
Moderate price, safe are for single woman 3 nights.
I stayed at the Mercure Lyon Centre Beaux Arts. Great location. In the center of everything. Walkable to old town.
We have always enjoyed: Hôtel des Célestins, 4 rue des archers.
Very safe, nice location and I believe it is a Rick Steve's guide book recommendation.
I just finished staying in the Mercure Beaux Arts, 4 days ago.. Agree with Frank ll.
Very good location, very good service. The only negative was some street noise at night because we have to open windows ( for fresh air) for our sleep comfort. If zI were to go again I would ask for a quieter location for the room. Otherwise a very nice hotel ,well located.
We stayed at Hotel des Célestins in early April. It was recommended by both the RS guidebook and several people on the forum, and it was in a very good location. I would consider the price to be moderate.
We stayed at the Hôtel des Remparts last year, and enjoyed it. I suspect the price is lower now; we were there during an international rugby competition, and most places we looked at were either full, or sky high in price. The location for the Remparts was great, just steps from a train station, and close to major sights.
