Any suggestions for modest accommodations and eateries in or around the 5th Arrond. We are a family of 3 staying in Paris April 9-16, 2017. Thanks!
There are no "eateries" anywhere in Paris. There are only restaurants, bistros, cafes and salles a diner.
I enjoyed a week last Fall at the Hotel Diana in the 5th. It's clean, attractive, and has a person on the front desk 24/7.
The breakfast cost extra but was generous and fresh.
I've also stayed at the Famillia and the Minerve, two hotels farther up Rue des Ecoles. They are lovely but more expensive, but might have more availability for rooms for 3.
Rick doesn't recommend any hotels in the Latin Quarter so you could look in Lonely Planet and then come back here to ask about particular ones that look interesting to you.
Happy trails!

David,
We also enjoyed our stay at Hotel Diana this past June.
It's centrally located, reasonably priced, comfy, with A/C, free Wi-Fi, & elevator.
The staff are friendly and helpful.
Request a quiet room facing the courtyard.
We didn't eat breakfast at the hotel though.
Enjoy your trip!
