This hotel is recommend in Rick’s book but old reviews in the travel forum are not good. Anyone stay at Hotel du Champ in Paris recently?

While I have not stayed at Hôtel du Champs de Mars (if that is the one you are referring to) the reviews on TripAdvisor and Google are quite good.

If that’s the one it is, I have stayed there. It has been several years but personally, I won’t go back. It’s fairly expensive for what you get, for example it doesn’t have a refrigerator where other hotels in that same area for the same price or less do have that feature And when I stayed there, I got to meet the rudest front desk clerk I’ve ever met at a hotel and I used to travel full-time for a living. It took a lot to win that prize
I’ve also stayed at the hotel Cadran , and the Relais Bousqet in the same street next to this place and felt like both of them were much better options for the price
