Hotel Cluny Square, Latin quarter

Good choice for Latin Quarter.. Clean and good staff. Not a good choice for you, if you have mobility issues, as the reception is on the 1st floor, with spiral stairs to go up. It is air conditioned and we were appreciative of that. Of course, the basic room is a little bijou, as are most rooms that are basic in Paris, so this was not unexpected for us. They have a basic French breakfast, which is adequate to hold you over to lunch. I would stay again.

Thanks, Christy. I'm going to take a look at it. Our recent favorite hotels all seem to have doubled their prices since last year.

Thank you. I've noted this for future travel. The prices are very good and include breakfast (if it has cappuccino, even better). It has AC and is in the 5th--what more could I ask for?

Huh, it showed no availability for any of the dates I put it, the ones we'll actually be in Paris, and a number of others I tried just to see the rates. I'll try emailing.

Jane, I entered dates around and including Christmas. All other dates showed that they had no availability.

Thanks, Lindy. I haven't tried again, but I will. I'm curious about their rates. We stayed in the 5th last year and loved it, but our hotel has literally doubled their rates. But then, so have most of the other hotels we checked. The only one that hadn't doubled had no vacancies when I checked the second time.

Whoa, I just checked December dates, and yes indeedy, the prices are excellent - about €170 for a standard double, breakfast included, can be cancelled up to 2 days before scheduled arrival. Non-refundable is even cheaper; nicer rooms are more, but still less that we'll be paying at Hôtel des Grandes Ecoles in October.

I will keep checking the website, or will try emailing them. Or at least bookmark this thread for another trip.
