Hotel Cler, Rue Cler Paris

Hi everyone,
I stayed at the Hotel Cler, Rue Cler in Paris. Pablo and Else made my stay most memorable. The hotel now has an elevator (5 floors), which made a huge difference. I stayed for 10 days, so I did not travel light. The room had a small refrigerator, and I stocked it with fruit, cheese and deli items. The room had a water kettle. Pablo gave me some great restaurant recommendations.
My room was spic and span, each day. I used the Rick Steves discount - free breakfast. The hotel location is ideal, close to the Eiffel Tower, Army Museum and metro stops. Also Bus 24 runs right off Rue Cler. There are several pharmacies in the area too. Rue Cler had fruit and veggie shops, fromagerie a boulangerie so I could picnic and save money.
Pablo offered to call a taxi but I had already ordered one. The hotel is clean, comfortable, great location, english speaking staff that are helpful, and pleasant. The rates were very reasonable. I would absolutely stay there again.
Incidentally, I booked the room directly from the Hotel Cler website, not through a third party.
Also, there is a self serve laundry just down the road.

So glad you had fun! How was the noise level? I've always been worried that the hotels ON Rue Cler might have a bit of people noise. One I stay at a block away I can hear murmurs of diners and the clink of silverware but otherwise no issues.

Pam,
when the vendors (next door) the fruits/veggies shop was closing for the night they were a bit noisy, but not for long. They close at 9pm, and were closed Mondays. I went Jan 3-14, 2026 so not so much "people noise". Maybe in the Summer??? Restaurants: The poor folks who want to smoke have to eat outside, some do so but they were bundled up and quiet.

Daughter and I stayed there last year in April and I agree with everything posted. We booked directly, were extremely happy with our stay, kept snacks and leftovers in the fridge, shopped at the markets on the street and really did not have any problems with noise. I would definitely stay there again. As with many European elevators, it was quite small but adequate for our use.
