Bistro des Artistes is a Rick Steves recommended restaurant in Honfleur and is absolutely fantastic! Our family of 4 stayed 5 nights in Honfleur. We had dinner at Bistro des Artistes on 3 out of 5 nights. I usually like to try a different restaurant each night when travelling. We tried a couple of other spots in Honfleur but then decided that we could not possibly do better than Bistro des Artistes. Cozy place with only 6 or 7 tables. The menu is written on a chalk board on the wall and I believe it changes weekly. The hard working owner and staff were a delight and very attentive. There seemed to be many locals, and friends of locals, having dinner at nearby tables. In the 3 nights we ate there, we tried virtually every dish on the menu and found all to be wonderful and several were absolutely spectacular! Do not miss dessert!
This was the foodie highlight of our trip and I would go back every night if ever I return to Honfleur.
