Beware le restaurant hotel d’esplande in Domme in Dordogne Valley is NOT a 3 star restaurant FYI despite 2019 France book. Le vue, however, is wonderful. Save yourself $2-400 for fake French food and get une glacé at a local spot instead and roam the path to see the gorgeous vistas!

In fairness, L'Esplanade does not bill itself as a 3 star restaurant, and I doubt any decent travel book does. It is a 3 star hotel, with a restaurant.

Why was the food fake French? Was it imported?
