Dreamy Dordogne Inn

Earlier this month, we spent 6 nights at La Tour de Cause, a just wonderful experience in every way. Our room was spacious, super clean, and nicely decorated and furnished. The bathroom included a large walk-in shower. The outdoor areas were filled with a variety of plantings, and had different types of seating.
Breakfast was amazing. In addition to the traditional French croissant and baguette, there were other breads, meats, cheeses, yogurt, cakes, and house-made jams. We didn’t try any eggs, but they were offered. Each morning there was a special cooked dish, like crepes, Belgian waffles, or pain perdu. Fresh-squeezed orange juice and bowls of freshly cut fruit provided the delicious vitamin rich course.
Dinner is offered on alternate nights, and should not be passed up. The meals are sumptuous. Aperitifs and nibbles start the evening. Every one of the several courses is delicious. Wine flows freely. The hosts will accommodate special food needs or preferences. These were among the best meals we ate in our entire 3 weeks in France.
Nico and Igor, the hosts, have created a blissful vacation venue. They could not be more helpful, kind, and accommodating. They clearly love what they are doing.
